Summary
Electro Symphony brought together the music of Fatboy Slim, Avicii, Daft Punk, and Stromae — reinterpreted live at one of Brussels’ most iconic heritage stages. The brief: capture that collision of worlds in motion, and build assets that could carry the atmosphere far beyond the night itself.
The challenge wasn’t just visual: it was conceptual. How do you animate something that’s simultaneously raw and refined, electronic and orchestral, classical and contemporary?
Design
Translating the “two worlds” idea into motion principles. The rule that defined everything: “Electro” stays hard, “Symphony” flows. The gradient lives only on the calligraphic word. it never touches the condensed sans. This asymmetry keeps the tension alive rather than resolving it into a unified style.
Result
Creating the animated pieces using dynamic movement that complements the energy of a live orchestra: percussive timing for the wordmark reveal, flowing gradient transitions for editorial contexts, and loopable ambient pieces for intermission projection. Each asset designed to work in both online and live performance settings.
